ROW80 ~ Because I Need to Focus

There’s this propensity to flounder when coming to the end of an all-consuming project. At least, for me there is. Even though I’ve no dearth of other projects, some of which I’ve been working on concurrently, some which I’m  very  excited about, once the BIG project is done, I’m like…

The Darkness &  Light series has consumed me for… Nearly 10 years?!!? Wow. It comes to an end with the release of Edge of Darkness next Wednesday, April 13, pre-order NOW. But, read First of Her Kind and Emergence first.

Oops, sorry about that. Where was I?

Oh, yeah, my inability to focus on the next BIG project. The thing I have to remember is…

So, with that in mind, onward! Which is why I’m throwing my hat in the ring for this round of ROW80. My goals are simple:

  1. Make serious headway on Pawn of Shadows (from hereon known as PoS), the second Coinblade Chronicles book.
  2. Finalize trailer for BiS, and formulate marketing plan, etc. in the event the traditional route does not pan out.
  3. Finish at least one more short story, either in the Coinblade Chronicles world, or grimdark. I say ‘one more’ because I currently have a short in the hands of several savvy Betas. I’m not completely sure what I intend it for. It’s very possible it will be made available ONLY to newsletter subscribers. See link over there <———

And that’s it for writing goals.

Now, I better get to it, yes?

Oh, and thanks Rachel, for turning me on to GIPHY.

  1. I’d wish you luck with the new project, but you don’t need luck. You’ve got perseverance, which is way better. So, just go for it, kiddo!

  2. I need that Robin Hood Men in Tights gif. Yes. Yes, I do. I am going to steal it from you. Yes, I am.

Grinning so big thinking about PoS. 🙂

  3. I would dearly love to know the context for that Stephen Colbert gif. GIPHY really is wonderful.

  4. Wow, 10 years! I have two projects like that, that I still need to revise. I’m kind of scared. But you finishing yours inspires me so much! So thank you!

Good luck with your goals this round!
