On a small farm in Wisconsin lives a woman, her husband, a handful of Australian Shepherds, Her Royal Highness Princess Fionna (the cat), Rebel (the other cat), assorted livestock, and a host of pestering muses. More muses than any one person should have to struggle with.
Growing up as the youngest of nine siblings, the daughter of a librarian and a dreamer, the woman spent more time between stacks of books and secluded away in the dusty archives than was probably even remotely normal. Then again, one person’s normal is another person’s crazy. Feeding her muses by writing, drawing, painting, and otherwise creating, became the only way the woman could maintain some semblance of sanity.
A Writers of the Future finalist, the woman’s words have appeared in novels, novellas, short stories, and anthologies. Her images have graced walls and book covers alike.
When not answering to her muses, the woman loves, raises, trains and competes with working Australian Shepherds, which you can read more about on the Shadowdance Farm blog.
